September 13, 2016 – Stanwood, Wash. – Process Solutions, Inc., a leader in control systems design and integration, is pleased to announce the recent promotion of Mark Hanks to Manager of the Information Systems Group.
Hanks has been with Process Solutions for more than 15 years, and has held the positions of project engineer and engineering manager. During his time, Hanks has been responsible for ensuring all deadlines are met, and projects stay in line with budgets. Hanks has also played a role in promoting continued education for Process Solutions employees.
With his promotion to Manager of the Information Systems Group, Hanks will be responsible for overseeing Process Solutions’ SCADA program. This will entail, facilitating work amongst the group, ensuring projects stay in line with budgets, increasing customer interfacing, and working with the sales team to increase business.
“Mark is a highly capable and knowledgeable individual. I am excited to have his help as Process Solutions enters new arenas in the automation industry,” said company president Todd Busby.
Early in life, after watching his dad work as a Master Electrician, Hanks developed an interest in the electrical field. In order to pursue his interests, Hanks attended school to earn his electrical engineering degree. As time passed, Hanks discovered that he was more interested in the hands-on aspect of electrical engineering and decided to return to school, this time earning a degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. After a short stint with a Canadian control systems company, Hanks decided to continue to pursue higher education, and received a MBA in Information Systems. Today, Hanks is a Doctoral candidate.
When asked about why he chose his field, Hanks explained, “Engineering is my passion. After seeing where control systems were headed, I couldn’t help but become excited about this field. There are so many opportunities out there just waiting for someone to capture. I want to be a part of the team that captures them, and I think that can happen at Process Solutions.”
